Hotel Red Bay
The first exhibit to the Red Bay Museum is a replica of the Hotel Red Bay lobby. Original items include the desk, staircase, sign, coatrack, letter and key holder. The original building was a wooden structure built in the very early 1900s and was later replaced with the brick structure in the 1920s. The building has been renovated and is in operation today. The image on the wall showing the hotel was made in 1929 at The Big Pic Nic, which celebrated Red Bay’s founding. The building to the left was the Bay Theatre which burned.
