Welcome to the Red Bay Museum!
The Red Bay Museum in Red Bay, AL is a project of the Red Bay Civitans and was officially opened in 2006. The museum includes displays that replicate landmarks from Red Bay using the actual items in each exhibit. The first exhibit you will experience as you enter the museum is of the former lobby of the Hotel Red Bay. Then you will continue through displays of dry good stores, the original marble soda fountain of a local drug store, items from the theater, farm equipment, old bank teller windows, exhibit of local churches, military, depot, school and much more. The tour of the museum concludes with a display on Tammy Wynette. Though born, raised, and schooled across the state line in Mississippi, Tammy called Red Bay her hometown since it was where she would go to shop, to the movies, to the doctor, and to visit relatives.
