Tammy Wynette
Virginia Wynette Pugh (Tammy Wynette) was born, raised and schooled in the Bounds Crossroads Community half way between Red Bay, AL and Tremont, MS where she attended high school. Red Bay was the closest town that she lived to, so she would call Red Bay her hometown, although just across the state line in AL. You will see items from her career including stage gowns she wore on stage to everyday clothes and even her personal makeup train case. Iron pieces, TW and GJ, were once on the bedroom windows of the Nashville home she shared with George Jones are on display. Covers from all 50 of her vinyl albums are shown, as well as a seat from her private airplane. At this time, this is the largest collection of Tammy Wynette items on display.
